Let’s see which are the most googled car brand in 2017. We traced the most googled brands according to Quickco database, an English spare parts factory. By the way, we must point out how Google cannot give a global portrait of the web researches as it is not surfed as much as the national browsers in countries like Russia and China. Let’s begin from Northern America where it is clear that Honda and Toyota are the most googled while the scenario slightly changes in Southern America: Honda in Brazil, Chevrolet in Argentina. Venezuela and Bolivia love Toyota, whereas Peru and Paraguay seems to be fond of Hyundai. The main car brands are from Europe, where BMW is the most searched one on the web, especially in Germany, UK, Norway, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Ukraine, Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia and Bulgaria. It’s quite foreseeable that Renault is heading the web researches in France and Turkey, Volvo in Sweden and Fiat in Italy. But, what about Volkswagen? It is the most wanted in Spain, Romania, Belarus and Estonia. On the contrary the majority of African states seem to be interested in Toyota with the exception of Niger, more interested in Bugatti. Asia focuses on Toyota, Honda and Hyundai. This last brand leads the Russian browser researches.
Finally let’s find out the most popular colours amongst these famous brands. In 2020 the most popular car colours were achromatic shades according to Axalta, global leader in supplying liquid paints: white (38%), black (19%), grey (15%) and silver (9%). Some of you may state they’re boring but you must admit they match with most people’s taste and do not affect the price of the car in case of reselling. Going on the very same Axalta research shows that blue (7%) and red (5%) are in fifth and sixth place. In the last places we can find the 3% and 2% of the vehicles are brown/beige and yellow/golden. Only 1 % of them were green-painted.
